The X Factor 2014 top 5 week 8 performances

The X Factor 2014 continued last night with Jukebox night and boy was Mel B in a grumpy mood.

Scary Spice truly lived up to her name by finding fault with every contestant except her own. The other judges were in better moods as they watched the final 5 acts compete for their place in next week’s semi-final.

Last night all of the acts sang two songs – one picked by viewers and one picked by a British recording star. Find out who made our Top 5…

5. Andrea Faustini – Hero

The loveable Italian was in the bottom two last week and we weren’t shocked. He has an incredible voice but he isn’t very versatile. Last night he was back on form with Mariah Carey’s Hero and we loved the twist at the start where he sang in Italian.

4. Lauren Platt – Don’t You Worry Child

Lauren Platt has had a rough week and after a patchy first performance, she brought it back with a stripped down version of Swedish House Mafia’s Don’t You Worry Child. She deserves to stay in the competition!

3. Stereo Kicks – Run

Stereo Kicks aren’t looked after all that well by Louis Walsh are they? They had their first song performance of the evening changed with less than 24 hours notice but they smashed it with their version of Snow Patrol’s Run.

2. Fleur East – If I Ain’t Got You

What the hell was Mel B on about? She criticised Fleur saying that the song was too big for her. From where we were sat she sounded fantastic. We hadn’t realised quite how much like Alicia Keys the budding popstar sounds.

1. Fleur East – Fool In Love

Cheryl and Mel B moaned that people wouldn’t know the song but we did and we loved it. It was easily the performance of the night and we love Fleur when she’s feisty and having fun. It’s safe to say that in our opinion she owned Jukebox Week.

The X Factor 2014 continues tonight at 8pm on ITV. Tune in to find out which act will be going home.
