Here’s what’s happening in our favourite village this week.
Pete’s arrested for manslaughter
Moira and Cain worry when DI Bails arrives to arrest Pete for manslaughter. As Pete tells Debbie he’s up in court tomorrow for manslaughter, he thinks this changes everything and he’s lost her. Dreading his day in court, he is intrigued when out of the blue it’s postponed and DI Bails suggests they strike a deal. Debbie’s shocked when Pete tells her about DI Bails’ blackmail and what he wants from him in return. Pete can’t see a way out of it, knowing if he doesn’t give the detective what he wants, he’s looking at a prison sentence.
A visit from the police to Butler’s Farm, investigating stolen cars, leaves Cain and Moira furious when they realise what Charity and Ross have been doing. When Debbie tells Pete how disgusted she is at her mother, could it give Pete the impetus to do what DI Bails wants? Will Chairty finally get her comeuppance?
Has Belle been attacked?
Cain warns Chrissie not to let Lachlan anywhere near Belle. Chrissie finds Lachlan wagging school and tells him about Can’s warning, worrying he’s doing the same as he did before and is unconvinced by his reassurances. Later, Lachlan joins Belle as she sits alone at the playground and initially things seem okay until suddenly Belle lashes out, hitting him before rushing off.
Ashley and Harriet bring Belle home scratched and upset, it appears that she has been attacked. Her family try and get her to explain what happened, but she becomes distressed refusing to go to the police. Meanwhile, Chrissie hears of the attack and races home with Lawrence. Her suspicions seem to be confirmed when she sees Lachlan has a cut on his head.
Belle’s living in fear and Zak and Lisa are worried who could be doing this to her. Meanwhile, Belle’s problems exacerbate when Cain gets the wrong end of the stick regarding Lachlan. But when Lachlan’s found with cans of spray paint the evidence against him seems to be apparent.
Andy asks Robert for help
Victoria sympathises with Andy as he looks at the cost of solicitor fees, annoyed he’s not going to see Robert. Andy relents telling Robert about wanting to go for custody and asks for leeway with the rent for the farm.
Lawrence admits to Robert he was wrong about him and Robert then tells Lawrence how Andy wants Wylie’s Farm rent-free. Andy’s thrown when Robert wants a formal rent agreement and tells Robert about Lawrence’s plan to set him up with Katie, but Robert’s undeterred – will Robert show any mercy?
Jimmy’s got a problem
Now Jimmy is supposedly back to normal after his reversal, Nicola is keen to crack on and make a baby and sets up an intimate encounter. But afterwards Jimmy is privately very concerned and asks Bob about his vasectomy reversal wanting him to take a look. Brenda ends up catching an eyeful too, but both agree he definitely should see a doctor. Later, Jimmy covers his pain when Nicola arrives, how is Jimmy going to delay her amorous intentions?
Harriet agrees to marry Ali and Ruby.
Kirin moves in with Vanessa, but she doesn’t seem keen for it to be a long term solution.
Robert learns Aaron fixed Chrissie’s car for free and later accuses him of fancying her only to discover Aaron is gay.
Katie’s incredulous Leyla is charging more for wedding services due to the extra rent.
Laurel is fed-up over Marlon’s concern for April and things reach a head when she breaks down in tears at work. Leaving Nicola to meddle in their relationship.
