X Factor hopeful Paul Akister was eliminated from the show last night and he appeared on ITV’s Good Morning Britain today to talk about it.
When the result was announced last night Paul was visibly upset and struggled to speak to host Dermot O’Leary. Speaking to Susanna Reid and John Stapleton, Paul admitted, āI was pretty angry and literally couldn’t stop crying.ā
He also revealed that he knew he was going to go. Paul said, āI actually knew… in the morning when we go to the studio and we do rehearsals I actually had a feeling, I was like, I’m definitely going tonight. It’s weird because Jack had the same thing – you just get a feeling.ā
Susanna asked Paul if he thought Louis Walsh had wimped out by not making a decision on the results show. He said, āYeah probably – he might’ve really liked Jay as well so I don’t know, but again, I would’ve said something whether it was me or Jay.ā
Paul is now backing Jay James to win the competition despite Jay being the winner of last night’s sing-off.
The X Factor continues on ITV at 8pm on Saturday.
