Find out what the week ahead has in store for the residents of your favourite village Emmerdale.

Belle’s back and being harassed

On Friday we saw Belle return home from her stint in prison for accidentally killing her best friend Gemma and already there were signs that she’s not forgiven herself and nor have her classmates.  After leaving lots of nasty comments and messages on her social media profiles, this week Belle has to face them as she returns to school.  However, it seems she doesn’t actually make it and instead heads to Gemma’s shrine where she’s interrupted by newcomer Lachlan (Chrissie’s son) whose dog tramples over Gemma’s grave leaving Belle angry.  He quizzes her over Gemma’s death and it’s all too much for Belle.

Gabby is nasty to Belle and gets more than she bargained for in return.  She makes an horrific admission that Belle has threatened to kill her, leading Marlon to retract a babysitting offer he made to Belle.  Bernice gets to the bottom of Gabby’s fears and tells Lisa, who is in disbelief and even more shocked when she returns home to graffiti  saying ‘Murderer’.

It seems that Belle has caught Lachlan’s interest as he asks her to have a drink with him, but what are his intentions?  He stirs things up by telling Belle about the graffiti at her house that her parents had tried to cover up and she rushes off.  Could it be Lachlan that’s behind the graffiti?

After his accident, Jai returns to work and is only too full of praise for Priya and asks her to stay on longer, however, she feels awkward when Jai insists she doesn’t need Rakesh in her life.  He tells her that he’s treating her and the rest of the family to a thank you meal and she decides it’s time to come clean about her relationship with Rakesh and invites him along.  Jai walks in on them kissing and it’s clear that his animosity towards Rakesh hasn’t dissipated, but he is soon distracted by a text with a picture of his missing son, Archie.

Jai follows up the lead and meets a man who has Archie in the car with him.  He tells Jai that Rachel is in trouble and needs £60,000 to go into rehab and once he hands over the money he can have Archie back.  Jai is left reeling as the man drives off with his son and has only one option – he must ask Rakesh for the money to finally get his son back.

Everyone is shocked to see Jai with Archie and he lies how Rachel has handed him over leaving a sceptical Ali to call the police, worried that Jai has done something to her.  As the police question Jai he panics and lies that Rachel brought Archie to him, but does he now suspect something else has been going on?  Rakesh is also worried at what he might have funded when he sees an article in the paper about a woman’s body having been found and questions whether Jai could have been involved.

A spiteful Robert wants his revenge and delights in telling everyone that Lawrence was sent to prison for being gay, taunting him for it, but later has to concede to apologise when fiancé Chrissie over hears and isn’t happy about his behaviour.  However, Robert manages to subtly blackmail Lawrence instead and asks him for the Estate Manager job,  he even seems to be kinder to Andy as the pair share a moment at Sarah’s memorial before Chrissie gets a call from Lawrence who claims he’s having a heart attack.
