Grey’s Anatomy returns to the UK this week as the 11th season of the show kicks off in the UK.
At the end of season 10 we discovered that Maggie Pierce (Kelly McCreary), the replacement for Cristina Yang (Sandra Oh) was Meredith’s (Ellen Pompeo) secret half-sister and that Richard Webber (James Pickens Jr) was her father! There was also tension between Meredith and Derek (Patrick Dempsey) over the decision about whether they should move to Washington D.C. so Derek could become the President’s doctor.
Elsewhere Callie (Sara Ramirez) and Arizona (Jessica Capshaw) decided to have a baby through a surrogate but it was indicated that may not be the answer to all of their problems, and Bailey (Chandra Wilson) and Alex (Justin Chambers) both thought they’d got Cristina’s chair on the Board.
Kevin McKidd directs the season 11 premiere I Must Have Lost It on the Wind. Meredith deals with Derek’s impending move and clashes with new doctor Maggie.
