5 nights to cure the festival come down

The sunny festival season is now over and this means that its now time to head back to the clubs. Autumn is a great time to get back into our favourite spots and this year is no different with great events taking place. EF’s put together a guide to the best nights this season and all the details are below.

A Day In Paradise at Ministry of Sound

Paradise Garage is at the cornerstone of modern dance music and its culture and its also were Larry Levan had his profound and lasting effect on music that we now listen to and the clubs that play it.

This 30th November on World AIDS Day, A Night In Paradise will bring back the spirit of the Garage to London and Ministry of Sound will be the host of this great event, which aims to raise £20,000 to support two of the world’s first and leading HIV charities, New York’s Gay Men’s Health Crisis or GMHS and the UK’s Terrence Higgins trust.

The line-up includes US legends and the UK figures responsible for bringing the Paradise Garage ethos to Britain, and more specifically, London. The Box welcomes Danny Krivit, Joey Llanos, David DePino, Victor Rosado, and a live performance from Jocelyn Brown. In 103, Justin Berkmann joins a bill featuring Kenny Carpenter, Ricky Morrison, Frankie Foncett, David Piccioni, and a PA from Bryan Chambers. Handsome in the Baby Box features Horse Meat Disco, Jeffrey Hinton, The Reflex, and Fidel.

Studio 338’s The Forest

Studio 338 undoubtedly one of London’s best clubs is saying goodbye to summer parties and revealing details of its autumn line-up instead. With a unique approach to this new season, Studio 338 is turning into a forest. The Forest events are in partnership with Kopparberg. And will feature some exciting DJs. You can buy tickets for each of the events now following the below Resident Adviser tickets.

On Saturday 25th October Studio 338 in Greenwich will play host to a hand-picked selection of some of the most innovative names in techno for ‘Together at the Threshold.’ After releasing some of the most sought-after records of the last seven years Hessle Audio’s Pangaea will headline the 11-hour party alongside Stroboscopic Artefacts founder Lucy, a rare live performance from Kompakt’s The Field, Ostgut Ton’s Jonas Kopp and relative newcomers Forward Strategy Group and FJAAK, the latter seeing recent releases on Modeselektor’s 50 Weapons.

Top 100 DJ Awards party at Brixton Academy

Tickets for Top 100 DJs party in Brixton have now gone on sale. The event is set to take place on the 18th October at the O2 Academy where the .

The Top 100 DJs party will see the winner of the DJ poll take on the decks on the night previous year’s winners included Hardwell, Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren, Paul Van Dyk, Carl Cox and John Digweed.

This year the confirmed line-up consists of Dash Berlin, Showtek, Riva Starr, Flash Mob, Copy Paste Soul, Aly & Fila,  Andrew Rayel, Coyu, Dyro & Don Diablo.

Modeselektion at The Troxy

Following the release of their popular Modeselektion series, Modeselektor, the Berlin duo have now confirmed their return to London. Not only will they be back in London they will also be curating their own night at the Troxy.

Modeselektion will be promoted by dollop, the UK purveyors of quality electronic music. The line up is a selection of artists that have featured on Modeselektor’s Modeselektion Vol 3 and include acts such as Nosaj Thing, L-vis 1990, Schlachthofbronx and Robot Koch and more to be announced.

The duo’s latest compilation, Modeselektion Vol 03 boasted exclusive tracks that were carefully picked by Gernot Bronsert and Sebastian Szary. Whether on vinyl or on stage, any Modeselektion “boils down to whatever we think is hot”, explains Gernot Bronsert. “We suffer from constant  music overload, so we use Modeselektion to channel the best of these tunes for the outside world.
