The Flash is coming to the UK this month

Arrow spin-off show The Flash will arrive in the UK on Sky 1 HD on Tuesday 28th October 2014.

The comic book show recently premiered to high ratings in the US pulling in 4.8 million viewers. The show isn’t as dark as Arrow but fans who saw the backdoor pilot during the last season of Arrow will know what to expect.

Central City Police scientist Barry Allen (Grant Gustin, Glee) has been standing still emotionally since the day his mother was murdered and his father unjustly jailed for the crime. But when an unexpected and devastating accident at the S.T.A.R. Labs Particle Accelerator facility strikes Barry, he finds himself suddenly charged with the incredible power to move at super speeds.

Barry sets out to use his newfound superhero powers to stop crime. Working alongside his adopted father Detective West, Barry uses his superhuman abilities to help the people of Central City and stop the rogues’ gallery of villains, many of whom have also been altered by the particle accelerator explosion.

The show also stars Danielle Panabaker, Candice Patton, Rick Cosnett, Carlos Valdes, Tom Cavanagh, Jesse L. Martin and John Wesley Shipp.
