Bette Midler announces new album It’s The Girls!

The entertainer pays tribute to classic girl groups through the ages.

Bette Midler will release new album It’s The Girls! on 17th November 2014 it has been announced.

The iconic entertainer pays tribute to girl groups through the ages covering songs from classic groups such as The Ronettes, The Supremes, The Andrews Sisters and TLC.

“A long time ago I fell in love with voices in harmony,” said Midler. “In particular, the sound of female voices singing together. There were so many great girl groups in those days, I still listen as avidly as I ever did. This record is a small attempt to honour them for all the joy they brought to me and the world.”

The album reunites Bette with producer and long-time collaborator Marc Shaiman
