Liam Neeson narrates brand new one-off show Wild Japan: Snow Monkeys which will air on Nat Geo WILD on Sunday night.
The show follows the ups and downs of a close family of snow monkeys in the Japanese Alps.
Deep in the mountains of central Japan roams a tribe of monkeys. Long ago, their ancestors travelled further north than any other primate on Earth and settled in the freezing cold Japanese Alps. They learnt how to survive the cold and since earned their name: snow monkeys. For these little guys, family and friends are everything. Every day during the winter, they take a trip down into Hell Valley to soak up the warm volcanic waters in a custom built hot spring. Follow the family over the course of a year as they face fierce storms, welcome new babies, and face the tragedy of death. It’s an intimate, immersive tale of family, friendship, and strife in the heart of the Japanese Alps.
