Gary Lineker unveils Walkers Do Us A Flavour finalists

Gary Lineker unveiled the 6 finalists of the Walkers Do Us A Flavour competition last night with the launch of a brand new advert.

The TV presenter and former footballer has recorded 6 different ads, one for each flavour, and in one advert Gary challenges the public to taste the Ranch Raccoon flavour after getting up close to a real-life raccoon.

Gary also travels to Brighton Pier, blindfolding a woman before she tastes the crisps, and is unable again to differentiate between the Chip Shop Chicken Curry dish and the finalistā€™s crisp ā€“ leaving Gary rolling his eyes in disbelief. Hot Dog with Tomato Ketchup, Pulled Pork in a Sticky BBQ Sauce, Sizzling Steak Fajita and Cheesy Beans on Toast are also all put through the blind Walkers taste test.

The six flavours on shelf now are Ranch Raccoon, Cheesy Beans on Toast, Hot Dog with Tomato Ketchup, Pulled Pork in a Sticky BBQ Sauce, Sizzling Steak Fajita and Chip Shop Chicken Curry.

Commenting on the advert, Gary says ā€œThe Walkers flavour experts have worked hard to create flavours that really do taste as delicious as the real dishes. The ads were lots of fun to film ā€“ I think the raccoon was the biggest diva of my Walkers filming partners to date. Iā€™m usually the one stealing the crisps in Walkers ads but the raccoon gave me a run for my money! Iā€™m curious to see which is the nationā€™s favourite as they are so different – from real British comfort food to American favouritesā€

The six finalist flavours are now on shelf and up for public vote at walkers.co.uk, one of which will be crowned the UKā€™s first Flavour Millionaire and scoop the Ā£1million prize.
