Tim Rice’s musical will be released in cinemas this July.

From Here To Eternity

Tim Rice’s musical adaptation of From Here To Eternity will be released in over 250 cinemas across the UK and Ireland on 3rd July.

Filmed across two nights at the Shaftesbury Theatre in London and directed by Nick Morris, From Here To Eternity stars Darius Campbell, Robert Lonsdale, Rebecca Thornhill and Siubhan Harrison. It was adapted for the stage by Tim Rice, Stuart Brayson and Bill Oakes.

Fans who see the show in cinemas will also get to see an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the Shaftesbury as well as an interview with Tim Rice.

Adapted from James Jones’ classic 1951 novel which was made into an Oscar-winning film, it is a gripping tale of illicit love and army life set in 1941 Hawaii, immediately prior to the attacks on Pearl Harbor. Having recently transferred to the base, troubled Private Prewitt (Robert Lonsdale) falls for Lorene (Siubhan Harrison), the kind-hearted escort club girl, while simultaneously his platoon sergeant, Warden (Darius Campbell), embarks on a dangerous affair with his commanding officer’s wife, Karen (Rebecca Thornhill), setting the lives of both men on a course they cannot control. As war approaches, the worlds of the four lovers and the soldiers of G Company are dramatically ripped apart.
