Cosmos: A Space Time Odyssey launches this weekend on National Geographic and the show has already found itself a rather famous fan.

In the video intro, intended for the American audience, President Obama invites a new generation to embrace the spirit of discovery and inspires viewers to explore new frontiers and imagine limitless possibilities for the future.

Cosmos: A Space Time Odyssey starts in the UK on Sunday 16th March at 7pm on National Geographic Channel. It will be simulcast on Sky 1 HD.
