The LEGO Movie tops UK box office

The LEGO Movie enjoyed the biggest opening weekend of the year so far when it crashed into cinemas last weekend.

The movie, the first-ever full-length theatrical LEGO adventure, opened with Ā£8 million topping the UK box office. In the US the film opened with a record-breaking $69.1 million and has become Warner Bros’ biggest-ever opening for an animated film.

The LEGO Movie is directed by Phil Lord and features an all-star voice cast including Chris Pratt, Will Ferrell, Elizabeth Banks, Will Arnett, Nick Offerman, Alison Brie and Charlie Day, with Liam Neeson and Morgan Freeman.
