Theatre maestros Fuel’s monthly podcasts by selected theatre artists continues with Rachel Mars and her piece Waiting… for a loved one to die, which is in collaboration with Fliss Murtagh.
Rachel Mars is an established theatre maker and performer working across theatre, live art and comedy who specialises in witty, uncompromising work about the idiosyncrasies of human interaction, often using her Queerness and Jewishness as a lens. She is an Associate Artist of The Basement, Brighton and The Barbican, Plymouth. Her show about comedy – ‘The Way You Tell Them’ -recently returned from a very successful run at the Edinburgh festival. She has recently been commissioned by Fuel Theatre, and has performed across the UK at Spill Festival, The Barbican, BFI, Pulse Festival and The Southbank Centre. She sometimes talks on radio, including for BBC’s ‘Pause For Thought’ and ‘Word of Mouth’. She is the smaller half of the devising duo Mars.tarrab.
Waiting… for a loved one to die is the latest episode of Fuel’s While You Wait series, which comprises related podcasts inspired by the idea of waiting.
