The Poppy Girls to release album on Monday

The Poppy Girls are set to release their own mix tape album in aid of The Royal British Legion.

Following on from their Festival of Remembrance performance, The Poppy Girls will release No Need To Say Goodbye 0n 25th November. The album is collection of cover songs dedicated to loved ones serving abroad.

Songs on the album include I’ll Be There (Jackson 5), Your Song (Elton John), I’ll Stand By You (The Pretenders), Ho Hey (The Lumineers) and more.

The Poppy Girls have pledged to send every British military unit deployed overseas a free copy of the album.

Charles Byrne, Director of Fundraising for The Royal British Legion said: ā€œThese girls are incredible. They are an absolute credit to themselves, their families and the wider Armed Forces community. Not resting on their laurels, they have taken it upon themselves to continue fundraising for the Legion through their music. We are incredibly grateful.ā€
