The Originals has been give a full season order TVLine reports.
The Vampire Diaries’ spin-off show has performed solidly in the ratings in the US and will now get a full season. Freshman shows Reign and The Tomorrow People, whilst not pulling in the same ratings as The Originals, have also been given full series orders.
The Originals follows the story of Original vampires Klaus (Joseph Morgan), Rebekah (Claire Holt) and Elijah (Daniel Gillies) as they move back to their hometown New Orleans and get caught up in a war between vampires and witches.
The show airs on Syfy in the UK.
