A brand new series offering a unique insight into the world of animal birth will come to Channel 5 soon.
Animal Maternity will show audiences how the animal kingdom deals with motherhood and the help it sometimes needs from humans will be brought to the small screen.
IWC Media, who produced the series, had unique access to a range of Britain’s zoos, safari parks and animal sanctuaries.
Channel 5 rigged dens, pens and keepers with mini cameras so viewers will witness first hand life and death action with the army of animal experts bringing up baby from first steps to first feeds, from some of the biggest babies in the animal kingdom to the smallest.
Greg Barnett, Channel 5’s Commissioning Editor for Entertainment, Daytime and Soaps commented: “This fascinating series will offer the viewer the unique chance to witness first-hand the births of some extraordinary animals they wouldn’t otherwise get the chance to see. At the same time these programmes also underline the serious threat some of our planet’s most adorable creatures are under and the lengths humankind is going to ensure they are protected.”
Animal Maternity will air on Channel 5 soon.
