The latest film from the Wachowski siblings, the pair who brought us The Matrix trilogy, will be released next month on Blu-ray and DVD. Cloud Atlas, the adaptation of David Mitchell’s novel of the same name, received vastly contrasting reviews when it was released in cinemas in October. That being said, the scale and ambition of Cloud Atlas is undeniable.
The film features an all-star cast including Tom Hanks, Halle Berry, Jim Broadbent, Hugo Weaving, Ben Whishaw, Xun Zhou, Susan Sarandon and Hugh Grant. Throughout time, each actor plays a variety of characters whose lives are interlinking, addressing the concept of a soul and the art of storytelling. Here’s the official synopsis:
