Star Trek Into Darkness première wows London

The stars of Star Trek Into Darkness brought glitz, glamour and sunshine to London.

Star Trek Into Darkness

The stars and film-makers from Star Trek Into Darkness came to London this week for the world première. Amongst those in attendance were Captain Kirk himself, Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto, Alice Eve, Karl Urban, Zoe Saldana, Simon Pegg and Benedict Cumberbatch. The films director J.J. Abrams and his writing team were also there to celebrate the brand new Trek movie at London’s iconic Empire Cinema in Leicester Square.

The crowds had camped out all night for what proved to be a stunning event. Matching the film for scope and entertainment, London hosted the world première of the movie after a long media tour had seen the cast travel around the globe.

Star Trek Into Darkness follows on from the popular 2009 reboot and features Sherlock star Benedict Cumberbatch as a terrorist who has a grudge with Starfleet. Enter Kirk and the crew of the Starship Enterprise to save the day.
