Travis are returning after a five year hiatus with new album Where You Stand, their seventh studio album, on 19th August.
The release also marks the relaunch of their own label Red Telephone Box via Kobalt Label Services. Producer Michael Ilbert has worked with Travis on the record delivering effortless, melodic pop gems.
Travis wrote and recorded the album in London, Norway and New York with a production stint in Berlin.
“You stay away as long as it takes,” says bassist Dougie Payne on the band’s well-judged fallow period, “so you feel that hunger and desire to get back to it same as you did at the start.”
Where You Stand is the follow-up to 2008 album Ode To J.Smith.
