Coronation Street won the award for Soap and Continuing Drama last night at the RTS Programme Awards, and some of it’s stars were at the ceremony to represent the show.
Brooke L. Vincent has been playing Sophie Webster in Coronation Street for nine years now, and having had gripping storylines over the past two years, it’s clear that she’s a much loved character.
We chatted to Brooke about Corrie’s nomination, and how she’ll be celebrating if it wins.
Hi Brooke, how are you this evening?
I’m great thank you.
Are you excited that Coronation Street have been nominated tonight?
I am! It’s amazing! Obviously, Corrie has got loads of storylines coming up, and one has just started on screen now, so its exciting.
Its been an exciting few episodes this week hasn’t it?
Yes! I didn’t watch it, but I’ve heard a lot about it, and I need to do the catch-up bit on a Sunday! Everyone did amazing in it,
What are you wearing tonight then?
I’ve got Forever Unique on tonight, and I thought I’d keep my legs in.
Will you be celebrating if you win?
Oh god yeah! You’ll see me on my back in the papers tomorrow morning! It’s also Natalie’s birthday tomorrow so we’ll hopefully have a double celebration!
