Coronation Street actress Samia Ghadie has revealed that she finds participating in Dancing on Ice more terrifying than doing a live episode of Corrie.
Samia who plays Maria in Corrie told TV Times, ‘This is far worse than live Corrie. I’d rather do live Corrie every day for a year than this as at least I know what I’m doing there; this is completely alien to me.’
Partnered with pro skater Sylvain Longchambon, Samia’s debut performance saw the acress skating toDiamonds the massive Rihanna hit for which she received a score of 17.5. In training viewers saw her fall and having to go to hospital to be treated for concussion.
She said, ‘I had an operation on my wrist in August and wear a wristguard, so I was conscious not to fall on it. Because of that I didn’t put my hands out, and fell straight on the back of my head on the ice.’
‘Within 10 minutes I got back on the ice, but later that day, whilst filming Corrie, I was still feeling a bit weird so they sent me to hospital.’
Samia has been the centre of speculation regarding her relationship with Dancing on Ice partner Sylvain. It is rumoured that both she and Sylvain left their respective partners due to their feelings for one another, something Samia has denied.
