Eric Church is taking his acclaimed ‘Evangeline vs. The Machine' album to a whole new level with a cinematic concert experience set to debut exclusively in IMAX theatres across the U.S. and Canada on Friday, February 13, 2026. The film, titled ‘Evangeline vs. The Machine Comes Alive,' will showcase Church’s eighth studio album performed in full, followed by a reimagined set of his biggest hits including ‘Desperate Man,' ‘Give Me Back My Hometown,' ‘Sinners Like Me,' ‘Mistress Named Music' and ‘Springsteen.' Tickets right here.
Filmed across two nights at The Pinnacle in Nashville, Tennessee, the project captures Church’s dynamic live performance with an expansive new sound and vision. Backed by a 6-piece band, 4-piece horn section, 4-piece string ensemble, an 8-piece choir, and powerhouse vocalist Joanna Cotten, the concert film is presented in IMAX’s signature 12-channel sound system and ultra-high-definition visual format — delivering what promises to be the ultimate Eric Church experience.
In a groundbreaking collaboration between IMAX, MCA, Mercury Studios and Q Prime South, this limited theatrical release marks a first-of-its-kind partnership that bridges the worlds of country music and immersive cinema. For Church, the performance was a career-defining moment.
“I’ve played a lot of shows,” Church shared. “I’ve never had two nights like these where the room felt literally transported. We went to a different plane, musically, artistically, emotionally. It was unforgettable and I’ll remember it the rest of my days.”
The concert transitions seamlessly between ‘Evangeline vs. The Machine’s' cinematic soundscape and reworked versions of fan favourites. From the climactic close of ‘Clap Hands' to the soulful groove of ‘Desperate Man' and the soaring sax solo on ‘Springsteen,' the show highlights the full range of Church’s influences — country, rock, blues and soul — all woven into an unforgettable live experience.
Directed by Reid Long and executive produced by Barak Moffitt, Andrea Dunn, Mike Harris, Rob Femia, and John Peets, Evangeline vs. The Machine Comes Alive is set to be a landmark moment for both Church and his fans. Represented by WME, Q Prime South, and MCA Nashville, Eric Church continues to push boundaries and redefine what live country music can be.
