Morgan Wallen announces ‘I’m the Problem’ album release & drops 2 new songs

Morgan Wallen has officially announced the release date for his highly anticipated fourth studio album, ‘I'm The Problem,' set to drop on May 16, 2025. Wallen shared the news directly with fans, revealing that the album will blend his signature country sound with rock and Americana influences. The release will coincide with his first-ever multi-genre festival, Sand In My Boots, taking place May 16-18 in Gulf Shores, Alabama.

Wallen spent nearly a year writing and refining the album at his farm just outside of Nashville, working with longtime collaborators Joey Moi and Charlie Handsome. The result is a deeply introspective project that reflects on his past and where he’s headed next. “I have been a problem, for sure, and I’ve got no problem admitting that,” Wallen shared. “But there are other sides to me as well. I’ve spent the last 11 months really trying to figure out, ‘Do I still want to be the problem? Is it time to move past that phase in my life?’ I think it probably is, and this might be the last time I get a chance to honestly say it.”

To give fans a taste of what’s to come, Wallen is releasing two new songs tonight: Just In Case and I’m A Little Crazy. ‘Just In Case' was written by Wallen alongside John Byron, Jacob Kasher Hindlin, Ryan Vojtesak, Josh Thompson, Blake Pendergrass, and Alex Bak, while ‘I’m A Little Crazy' was penned by Michael Hardy, Smith Ahnquist, Hunter Phelps, and Jameson Rodgers. Both tracks were produced by Joey Moi, with Charlie Handsome co-producing ‘Just In Case.'

Wallen continues to break records, recently becoming the first artist to have two albums spend over 100 weeks in the top 10 of the Billboard 200 chart. With ‘I'm The Problem,' he offers a more intimate look at his life, presenting songs that feel raw, personal, and deeply reflective. He will debut music from the album on Saturday Night Live when he returns as a musical guest on March 29.

The album’s release also fuels Wallen’s I'm The Problem Tour, kicking off on June 20 at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas. The 20-show stadium run includes stops in Seattle, Foxborough, Toronto, and a historic back-to-back performance in Madison, Wisconsin, marking the first time an artist has played two consecutive nights at Camp Randall Stadium. The tour features an impressive rotating lineup, with Brooks & Dunn, Miranda Lambert, Thomas Rhett, and Koe Wetzel as direct support, while Gavin Adcock, Corey Kent, Ella Langley, and Anne Wilson will perform as opening acts on select dates. These stadium shows, along with Sand In My Boots Festival, will be Wallen’s only live appearances in 2025.

Known for his ability to connect with fans, Wallen has solidified his place as one of country music’s biggest stars. Billboard calls him “the biggest country star in the world,” while The New York Times describes him as “one of the biggest stars in pop, period.” With 17 No. 1 singles, 19 Billboard Music Awards, and record-breaking album sales, Wallen continues to push the boundaries of country music. His last album, One Thing At A Time, propelled him to new heights, topping international charts and solidifying his global appeal.

In addition to his music, Wallen remains committed to giving back through the Morgan Wallen Foundation, which donates a portion of ticket sales to support youth music and athletic programs, as well as providing aid to communities in need.
