Multi-platinum singer/songwriter Kip Moore has just released his latest track, “Learning As I Go,” available now via Virgin Music Group. Co-produced with Jaren Johnston, the song is Moore's second recent release, offering fans a glimpse into his next musical chapter and hinting at even more to come.
With its driving rhythm and underdog spirit, ‘Learning As I Go' speaks to finding resilience in life's uncertainties. It's a song that easily could have been lifted from Moore's iconic ‘Wild Ones' album with its moody atmosphere and drum-driven beat which finds Moore singing about learning from his mistakes over the top. In the chorus, Moore sings, “Some tumbleweed just rolling on, not sure where to blow / With every twist and every turn, I’m learning as I go,” capturing the journey of self-discovery and growth. There's an evolution here but fans will hear classic Kip Moore in the gruff vocals, the esoteric lyrics and anthemic chorus.
Moore explained the quick turnaround behind the release, sharing, “I just recorded ‘Learning As I Go’ before I left for Australia, and the feeling in the studio was so palpable. Once we got the recording back, we wanted to get it out there as soon as possible. I think it’s a pretty universal feeling to think you’ve failed if you slip up, but there’s beauty in learning from those ‘mistakes.’ This track is about embracing those lessons instead of beating yourself up over them.”
This new release follows the success of his fiery track ‘Live Here to Work,' marking Moore's return after nearly two years without new music. Described as “blistering” by Billboard, the track quickly garnered attention, with Rolling Stone naming it a “Song You Need to Know” and Whiskey Riff calling it a “middle finger to the rat race of the work culture.”
Moore’s marathon Nomad World Tour is in full swing, with a whirlwind 14-show run in Australia, where he performed to sold-out arenas. Next, he heads to South Africa, where he played to over 40,000 fans last year, before kicking off a series of U.S. dates next month.
