‘Climate Change' marks an exciting new chapter for the Nashville-based group—made up of Taylor Edwards, Jillian Steele, and Rachel Wiggins—known for their lush harmonies and infectious songwriting. Produced by Johnny Simpson (Jonas Brothers, Tori Kelly), the track blends shimmering pop production with playful storytelling, exploring the moment a friendship unexpectedly turns into something more. Co-written by Steele, Simpson, Cole Miracle, and Maya J’An Brown, the song captures both the thrill of a sudden spark and the bittersweet sting of being friend-zoned, wrapped in irresistibly catchy melodies and rich girl-group harmonies.
“Mercury is rising and it’s in retrograde — that’s hot!” the trio shared. “We couldn’t be more excited that ‘Climate Change’ is part of the Nobody Wants This soundtrack with some of our favorite artists.”
Directed by Kate Bowling, the vibrant video places Just Jayne behind the desk of a fictional news show, “Just Jayne News,” before the weather takes a dramatic turn. Using clever green-screen visuals, the trio are swept into tornados, blizzards, and hurricanes—all while keeping their playful charm and camaraderie front and center. A whirlwind of fun and energy, “Climate Change” solidifies Just Jayne’s status as one of country-pop’s most exciting new voices.
