‘Doctor Who – The Highlanders’ Patrick Troughton missing story arrives on vinyl LP from Demon Records

For the first time ever on vinyl LP, Demon Records proudly presents the complete narrated TV soundtrack of Doctor Who: The Highlanders. Featuring linking narration by Frazer Hines, this collectible audio version of the 1966/67 classic story hits the shelves on June 14, 2024.

Join the Doctor (Patrick Troughton), Polly (Anneke Wills), and Ben (Michael Craze) as the TARDIS materializes in the aftermath of the Battle of Culloden in Eighteenth Century Scotland. Befriend a band of fleeing Jacobites and navigate the perilous political landscape torn between supporters of Bonnie Prince Charlie and his adversaries.

Originally aired in December 1966 and January 1967, this story is celebrated for introducing Jamie McCrimmon (played by Frazer Hines), one of the Doctor’s longest-serving and best-loved companions.

Presented in a striking widespine sleeve, this set includes two 140g translucent discs: one red and one blue. Enjoy the complete original soundtrack of the four-part BBC TV serial, which is now missing from the BBC's video archive. The package is rounded off with fully-illustrated inner sleeves featuring Radio Times-style billings for each episode.

The 1921 Edition will be available exclusively from HMV.
