At this point I’ve been fortunate enough to review several products from Krafted and their latest release – Connex – could be a gamechanger. Billed as an all-in-one charging solution, Connex aims to prevent you having to remember a heap of cables every time you leave the house. With a compact design and available in two colours – Jade and Charcoal – the Connex is the perfect device to carry with you when you need to travel.
Shaped similarly to a Swiss Army Knife, the Connex is built with a durable ABS shell and it offers USB-C, Micro USB, USB-A and Lightning connecters. The USB-A connection can be removed, giving you a second USB-C connection should you need it. The connectors can be accessed by rotating out the relevant connection, allowing you to connect it to your device(s). Supporting up to four outputs at the same time, the Connex supports Power Delivery charging up to 25W and speedy data transfer, and it controls the current flow depending on the number of devices attached.
I tried the Connex out on a few devices in my home. It worked perfectly with a smart phone charger, quickly giving a boost of power to my smart phone when the battery was low. I was impressed by the speed of the charge and it worked just as well as any cable I’ve used in the past. One of the things I like about the Connex is that you can use it for multiple things at once so if you connect it to a charger, you can then charge your phone and your laptop at the same time, for example.
Due to its compact size, the Connex can be added to your keys or hooked on your bag, thanks to the handy in-built loop. That makes it super easy to carry around with you, and takes away the need for carrying every possible cable that you might need with you. When most places don’t allow you to take in big bags any more, it’s really handy to have the Connex and it’s pretty lightweight.
The Connex from Krafted is a nifty piece of kit. It’s really handy to keep in your bag, or on your keyring, and you’ll end up using it a lot more than you think. Say goodbye to having to carry around several cables, and enjoy a clutter-free bag. I would recommend it for anyone who travels a lot or those that enjoy going to festivals and concerts.
