Lady Gaga has released new single ‘Abracadabra' along with its music video.
The latest taster from her upcoming seventh studio album ‘Mayhem', released 7th March 2025 via Interscope Records, ‘Abracadabra' aired during a commercial break for Mastercard at the 2025 Grammy Awards. Watch the video for ‘Abracadabra' below:
The video is directed by Lady Gaga, Parris Goebel, and Bethany Vargas and it features choreography by Parris Goebel. ‘Abracadabra' showcases a dance battle between the light and dark sides of Gaga. Gaga collaborated with Goebel to create the epic dance sequences, which were brought to life by a community of 40 dancers.
Styled by Peri Rosenzweig and Nick Royal, the creatives behind HARDSTYLE, Gaga’s costumes include standout pieces like an upcycled white cape crafted from vintage wedding dresses, adding a layer of thoughtful design to the production.
‘Mayhem' explores the themes of chaos and transformation, celebrating music’s power to unite, provoke, and heal. It features the singles ‘Disease' and ‘Die With a Smile' featuring Bruno Mars.
“The album started as me facing my fear of returning to the pop music my earliest fans loved,” said Gaga. Far from a nostalgic throwback, the album reinvents her early sound with a kaleidoscopic approach that draws from her expansive musical library while embracing a fresh and fearless artistic perspective. Gaga describes the creative process as “reassembling a shattered mirror: even if you can’t put the pieces back together perfectly, you can create something beautiful and whole in its own new way.”
Gaga will be honoured with the 2025 iHeartRadio Innovator Award at the 12th annual iHeartRadio Music Awards on 17th March followed by headlining performances at Coachella on 11th and 18th April.
