Kylie Minogue’s Tension Tour Factfile

Nearly a year ago in Perth, Australia, Kylie Minogue embarked on one of her biggest global tours ever in support of 2023's ‘Tension' and 2024's ‘Tension II' albums. Critics couldn't praise it highly enough and fans across the globe got to bask in all Kylie's glory as she performed tracks from throughout her near-40-year music career.

To celebrate the release of the tour on vinyl and CD this Friday, here's 10 interesting tour facts:

  1. The Tension Tour saw Kylie visit 24 countries with a total of 66 shows performed across Australia, Asia, Europe, North and Latin America.
  2. Kylie played four dates at London's O2 Arena and in doing so became the first female to join their 21 Club. An accolade that honours artists and performers who have played 21 or more dates at the venue, and was launched following Prince’s record-breaking 21 consecutive, sold-out shows at The O2 in 2007.
  3. Kylie achieved another milestone in the UK as the Female with most appearances at Manchester's AO Arena with the Tension Tour taking her tally of concerts there over the years to 33.
  4. ‘I Believe in You’ was performed in Act II on opening night in Perth, but then came off the setlist for all subsequent dates. ‘In My Arms’ was added to the setlist for the Latin America leg of the tour where it is something of fan favourite.
  5. Kylie debuted brand new song (with Brazilian DJ Alok), ‘Last Night I Dreamt I Fell In Love'. It dropped the same week the tour started.
  6. The tour included a segment where Kylie would ask for audience requests and sing snippets of some of her songs that weren’t on the set list. This was also a great chance for her to interact with fans and included a young fan dressed as Jason Donovan joining her on stage, as well as fans showing off memorabilia and sharing their stories.
  7. In Birmingham,  local lady Jazzi P took to the stage to perform her famous rap in ‘Shocked’; The first time she has performed with Kylie since 1991's Let's Get To It tour.
  8. Kylie played, and sold out, Madison Square Gardens for two consecutive nights for the first time in her career – and the Empire State Building was lit up green and gold (to represent her native Australia) in her honour, on the show nights.
  9. Support acts for the North American leg of the tour were Romy and Rita Ora. The latter joined Kylie to sing a section of ‘Spinning Around' in Los Angeles; Kylie and Rita even did a synchronized dance routine!
  10. The Tension Tour was among the Top 10 biggest grossing pop tours of 2025 according to Billboard.
