BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville has officially welcomed singer-songwriter Atlus to its roster, marking the next chapter for an artist who rose from the underground to rack up more than a billion on-demand streams. Known for his self-penned viral hits, a platinum single, and four independent albums, Atlus makes his label debut today with the release of ‘Devil Ain’t Done' via Stoney Creek Records.
Written by Atlus alongside David Garcia and Geoff Warburton, and co-produced by Garcia and Andrew Baylis, the track pairs infectious grooves with lyrics about self-doubt and perseverance. The former truck driver draws from his own experiences to craft a song that blends personal storytelling with universal themes. “I believe that everyone runs into the devil at some point in their life,” Atlus shares. “Sometimes it’s the devil in your mind, sometimes it’s the devil in your hometown… Life is much better now, but the devil can find his way into any room. I just remind myself to keep being a good person and not give into the temptation.”
Atlus’ journey began in a single-parent home marked by poverty and addiction, experiences that shaped his resilience and commitment to authenticity. He wrote his first albums while working as a commercial truck driver, using long hours on the road to develop lyrics and melodies. Over time, his raw honesty and genre-blending style built a loyal following, leading to standout moments like performing with Jelly Roll at a sold-out Red Rocks Amphitheatre and earning a Top 5 spot on Spotify’s Global Album Chart.
BMG America’s President of Frontline Recordings, Jon Loba, calls Atlus “a true poet” whose music connects universally across age, gender, and taste. Atlus says the partnership feels personal: “The industry default is ‘It’s not personal, it’s just business.’ But that’s never been true for me, and from day one, everyone at BMG has shown it’s not true for them either.”
With over a billion streams and two million social followers, Atlus continues to focus on creating music that offers both connection and catharsis. ‘Devil Ain’t Done' is available now on all streaming platforms.
