Tyler Rich is closing out 2025 with a major gift to fans: the deluxe edition of ‘Poppy & Iris,' arriving this Friday, November 21. The expanded collection is available for pre-save/add now HERE and brings together the full emotional arc of Rich’s dual albums ‘Hello California' and ‘Leaving California,' now enhanced with new music that deepens the project’s themes of love, growth, and resilience.
The deluxe edition includes every fan-favourite track from the original albums, plus three brand-new songs including ‘Cowboy Tears' and ‘Redwood.' Both tracks reflect Rich’s continued evolution as a songwriter, spotlighting the introspective storytelling and melodic warmth that have defined his California-inspired era.
‘Cowboy Tears,' co-written by Rich and Andrew Capra and produced by Brad Hill and Lalo Guzman, leans into the ache and nostalgia of rediscovering a love that never truly faded. Rich describes it as a song about “chasing what you already have”—that rare connection that feels like home, no matter how much time or distance has passed. The title is also a heartfelt nod to his wife Sabina’s lifestyle brand, quietly weaving their real-life love story into the music.
The second new track, ‘Redwood,' written by Rich, Aaron Gillespie, Matty Mullins, and Cody Quistad, continues that emotional depth with a powerful metaphor for enduring love. Produced by Hill and Guzman, the song draws on the resilience of redwood trees—standing tall through fire, storm, and time. Rich explains that the song mirrors his relationship with Sabina: “When everything else falls apart, we’re still standing.” It’s a celebration of unshakeable roots and the strength found in growing back stronger.
Also included is the bonus track ‘Dogs Don’t Die,' a deeply personal tribute to Rich’s late dog, Abby. Written with Blake Bollinger and Steven Lee Olsen, the song resonates with anyone who has grieved a beloved pet. It’s a gentle reminder of the unconditional love dogs bring into our lives—and how that love endures even after they’re gone.
The deluxe release caps a milestone year for Rich, who expanded his creative world with the publication of his first two children’s books, Dogs Don’t Die and Leave the Wolf Wild. Both titles showcase his ability to translate emotion and storytelling into new artistic forms, reaching readers far beyond the audience he commands onstage.
As ‘Poppy & Iris (Deluxe)' arrives, Rich is finishing his nationwide Leaving California Tour, which continues through the end of the year. With new music, new stories, and a growing artistic legacy, Tyler Rich is stepping into 2026 with momentum—and fans now have the definitive soundtrack to follow along.
