Watch: Emily Ann Roberts and Ian Munsick bring new life to ‘Jack & Jill Daniel’s’ with duet version

Emily Ann Roberts has teamed up with fellow rising country star Ian Munsick for a fresh take on her fan-favourite single ‘Jack & Jill Daniel’s’, with the new duet version out now. The reimagined track adds a dynamic new layer to the original, transforming the story into a lively back-and-forth between two voices.

Originally praised for its bright storytelling and standout vocal performance, ‘Jack & Jill Daniel’s’ has already helped cement Roberts’ reputation as one of the genre’s most distinctive new voices. The song offers a playful, fictional spin on the origins of Jack Daniel’s famous whiskey, blending humour with classic country charmm, and the addition of Munsick brings that narrative even more to life.

“I’ve been a fan of Ian for a while, so I was thrilled when I heard he was a fan of the song,” Roberts says. “We came up with this back-and-forth banter in the verses, and it really brings the story to life. After we sang it together for the first time the night before the ACM Awards, I knew we had to record it as a duet.”

For Munsick, the collaboration felt like a natural fit. “Emily Ann is such a light in the country music world,” he adds. “I really respect her positivity and what she brings to her music. Hopefully, by joining forces, we can spread even more of that.”

The duet arrives at a busy time for both artists. Roberts is currently on the road as part of Thomas Rhett’s The Soundtrack to Life Tour, having kicked things off with a major opening night at Nashville’s Geodis Park. Meanwhile, Munsick is building towards the release of his upcoming fourth studio album ‘The Mountain Goat,' due August 21.

With its expanded storytelling and added chemistry, the new version of ‘Jack & Jill Daniel’s’ feels like more than just a remix. It’s a reinvention that highlights the strengths of both artists while keeping the heart of the original intact.
