Dani Dyer is confirmed for ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ 2026

Dani Dyer is getting another chance to compete in ‘Strictly Come Dancing' as she's been confirmed for the 2026 series.

The TV personality, broadcaster and author was originally part of the cast of Strictly 2025 but had to withdraw due to an injury before the competition began and will be returning to compete for the Glitterball Trophy later this year. The news was officially revealed on @bbcstrictly’s official social channels via Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and YouTube.

Born in Canning Town, this year has seen Dani win ‘Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins' as well as co-star alongside her dad in the hit series The Dyers Caravan Park. Previous TV work has included the documentaries ‘Is This Anxiety?' and ‘Greggs v McDonalds', as well as guest appearances on ‘Celebrity MasterChef', ‘Celebrity Gogglebox' and ‘EastEnders'. Dani won ‘Love Island' in 2018 and has since amassed 3.7 million social media followers. She is also a best-selling author with her debut book ‘What Would Dani Do?' reaching Number 4 on the Sunday Times Bestsellers list. Dani married Jarrod Bowen in May last year.

Dani said: “I am so excited to be back in the ballroom this September! I just cannot wait to get my dancing shoes back on and hopefully this time around I can actually make it to week one! I’m just over the moon and cannot wait to find out who else is doing it!”

Dani joins the previously announced Lacey Turner in the ballroom when ‘Strictly Come Dancing' returns this autumn to BBC One and BBC iPlayer with new presenters Emma Willis, Josh Widdicombe and Johannes Radebe.
