Ashley Cooke announces new project ‘ace’ for November release

Big Loud / Back Blocks Music’s rising country star Ashley Cooke has announced her brand-new project ‘ace,' set for release on November 14. The nine-track collection features five brand-new songs, including the highly anticipated fan-favourite live track ‘baby blues.' Fans can pre-save ace now, with the full tracklist and songwriter credits listed below.

Reflecting on the personal inspiration behind ace, Cooke shared, “Growing up, my dad gave me this nickname: Ace. I’m not sure if it was his love of blackjack or because it’s kind of my initials, but nonetheless, it just stuck. It makes me think of the person that I am, truly, to my core, behind closed doors.”

She continued, “It’s been about two and a half years since my debut record was released. So many incredible, bucket-list things filled the days after with the best people I could ever imagine getting to share them with. But life has a funny way of spitting rain when you think it’s gonna be a sunny day. I swear, one thing hit after another. I lost some of the most important people in my life, and health issues in my family piled up left and right. Love came, and love went. This music is derived from those real situations. It’s brutal honesty. It’s a story in chronological order. And it’s a collection of songs welcoming you to the next chapter. This is ‘ace.' Make yourself at home.”

The announcement comes on the heels of Cooke’s recent single ‘the hell you are,' which became the No. 1 most-added song at country radio upon release. She has also released two versions of ‘tin foil hat,' including a “panic attack” version accompanied by an official music video. After teasing ‘baby blues' for release next month, Cooke surprised fans by revealing that an entire new project would arrive instead.

Earlier this year, Cooke headlined her Your Place Tour and joined Kane Brown on tour, earned an ACM nomination for New Female Artist, and released her collaborations ‘All I Forgot' with Joe Jonas and ‘the f word.' Following a standout appearance at CMA Fest, she dropped the fiery anthem ‘the hell you are' and even starred in a Hardee’s commercial alongside the Rizzler.

Currently, Cooke is on the road through November with Parker McCollum, Dustin Lynch, Brad Paisley, Lee Brice, Dylan Scott and more, while headlining select shows and performing at major festivals. Fans can visit www.ashleycooke.com for the full list of tour dates and updates.
