Rising country-rock artist Zach John King has released his latest track, ‘Space,' a song born out of his longing for home and simplicity after weeks of being on the road. Written with Michael Lotten and Blake Pendergrass, the song channels themes of missing home, finding peace in nature and carving out room for reflection amidst the chaos of city life.
Blending upbeat rock production with his raw, emotional vocals, King delivers a vivid picture of what it means to seek quiet in an increasingly noisy world. “‘Space’ is just an honest song about missing home,” King shared. “I wrote it after a month-long stretch of shows where I was constantly in and around cities—no woods, no quiet, just noise and nonstop movement. I wanted to write about what I’d been missing. Most of all, I missed being out in God’s creation instead of surrounded by buildings.”
‘Space' arrives at a moment when King’s profile is rapidly rising. He has been touring as an opener on Morgan Wallen’s “I’m The Problem Tour,” a coveted slot that has introduced him to massive country crowds nationwide. This September, he will join Luke Bryan’s Farm Tour 2025 before hitting the road with Dylan Scott, Gavin Adcock and Bayker Blankenship later in the fall.
Raised in Fayetteville, Georgia, King grew up in a family of poets and first pursued music through an indie-rock band in college before moving to Nashville in 2021. His sound draws on influences that span George Jones and Otis Redding to The Police, Third Eye Blind and Switchfoot, blending roots-driven storytelling with the edgy grit of alt-rock. Now signed to Sony Music Nashville, King has quickly become a name to watch for fans who crave authenticity and intensity in equal measure.
