Faith Hopkins announces debut EP & shares stinging new Single ‘Open Book’

Emerging Play It Again Music artist Faith Hopkins has announced the release of her debut EP, ‘Love & Insanity,' set to arrive October 10. To mark the news, Hopkins has unveiled a new single, ‘Open Book,' available everywhere now.

Co-written with Kyle Clark, Emily Landis, and Evan Cline, ‘Open Book' captures the frustration of laying it all out in a relationship and still being misunderstood. Hopkins describes it as a cathartic anthem meant to be shouted behind the wheel or straight to the person who missed the message.

“‘Open Book’ is about being completely honest in a relationship—spelling it out, bold and underlined—and still not being understood,” Hopkins explained. “It’s an upbeat track made to be screamed in your car…or right in his face, if you get the chance. And this song is just the beginning. My EP dives into all the ways love can make you feel unhinged. It’s about how love can make you a little insane—it’s wild, it’s real, and it’s exactly how I want to introduce myself to the world.”

‘Love & Insanity' channels the sharp emotional honesty, wit, and sparkle of artists like Kacey Musgraves and Sabrina Carpenter while carving out Hopkins’ own distinctive voice. The six-song project includes ‘Let Him Have It,' her fiery breakup anthem released earlier this year, praised by All Country News for its spitfire energy and vocal command. Across the EP, Hopkins explores the messy highs and lows of love from the perspective of a twenty-something, delivering stories that are raw, playful, and relatable.

Love & Insanity Tracklist:

  1. Insanity
  2. Open Book
  3. Dodged A Bullet
  4. Get Away With Murder
  5. Break It You Buy It
  6. Let Him Have It

Hopkins, who signed to Dallas Davidson’s Play It Again Music, began releasing music last year and quickly drew attention for her blend of country-pop hooks and unapologetic storytelling. Holler described her early songs as “a giant overflowing cup of deliciously catchy country pop,” likening her to a version of Sabrina Carpenter who fully embraced country. Originally from Huntington Beach, California, Hopkins followed her passion for country music to Nashville, where she attended Belmont University and is now making her mark as both a singer and songwriter.

‘Love & Insanity' arrives October 10, with ‘Open Book' available now.
