Kylie Minogue has kicked off her ‘Tension' World Tour at the RAC Arena in Perth, Australia today.
The pop superstar has been teasing the tour on her social media for months, with fans speculating about which songs she might perform. It was expected that Kylie would perform her greatest hits alongside selections from her albums ‘Tension' and ‘Tension II' and from the look of the setlist, she didn't disappoint.
Opening with ‘Lights, Camera, Action', Kylie was suspended in the air on a swing inside a diamond. The singer posted footage of the performance on her Instagram Story. Across the set Kylie touched on many different stages of her career with hits such as ‘Spinning Around', ‘Better the Devil You Know' and ‘The Loco-Motion'.
‘Disco' finally got it's time in the spotlight with an acoustic version of ‘Say Something' kicking off a section that included several songs from the record. For the final part of the set the singer performed the triple whammy of ‘Padam Padam', “Can't Get You Out of My Head” and ‘All the Lovers'. She then brought things to a close with ‘Tension' and ‘Love at First Sight'.
Visually, the set was minimal with basic staging. It definitely doesn't look to be on the same level as some of the star's previous tours.
