Country music trailblazer Jon Pardi is set to ignite 2025 with the release of his fifth studio album ‘Honkytonk Hollywood' available April 11. Known for his bold, modern honkytonk sound and unapologetic country roots, Pardi’s upcoming 17-track project builds on his legacy while exploring new sonic territory. Fans can now stream the title track and pre-order the full album here.
“All my albums have been rock and roll with a country flair – this one keeps on rockin’,” Pardi explains. “It’s also the most grown-up record I’ve ever made, all my soul basically. Honkytonk Hollywood is for the Nashville that’s in my blood and a nod to my California roots. And right now, more than ever, I hope it’s a way to honour and lift up the people of my home state.”
Produced by Jay Joyce for the first time and recorded with his touring band, the album showcases Pardi’s creative independence and genre-bending artistry. From the electrifying opener ‘Boots Off' to the sultry ‘Love The Lights Out' and the edgy single ‘Friday Night Heartbreaker,' the album blends roadhouse stomp, soulful grooves, and rock-tinged energy. Tracks like ‘She Drives Away' offer cinematic heartbreak, while ‘Bar Room Blue' nods to classic San Antonio swing.
Pardi’s fearless approach also pushes boundaries, with tracks like the grungy ‘Rush' and the mellow, new-wave-infused ‘Don’t You Wanna Know.' Meanwhile, heartfelt ballads like ‘He Went to Work' honour timeless family values, and ‘Gambling Man' delivers a cautionary tale wrapped in moody tuxedo-twang. The album closes with ‘Kinda Wanna Keep It That Way,' a tranquil, acoustic-driven anthem celebrating Pardi’s creative freedom.
“We did what we wanted, and it stands out because of it,” Pardi says of the album. “Taking the chance paid off, and I kind of want to keep it that way.”
With Honkytonk Hollywood, Jon Pardi proves once again why he’s a force in country music, fusing his signature honkytonk grit with bold experimentation.
