Tucker Wetmore starts 2025 with his first number 1 single

Riding the wave of a breakthrough 2024, country music's rising star Tucker Wetmore is starting the new year on a high note with his first No. 1 single at Country radio. ‘Wind Up Missin’ You' has claimed the top spot on the Mediabase Country chart as the year’s first chart-topper, earning RIAA Platinum certification and cementing Wetmore’s place as one of the genre’s most exciting newcomers.

“I cannot say thank you enough to Country radio for making ‘Wind Up Missin’ You’ my first No. 1,” Wetmore shared. “The last year has changed my life, and it wouldn’t look the same without y’all! This is a dream come true and an incredible way to start 2025. I’m beyond grateful to everyone who made this happen, and I’m excited to work even harder for you this year. God is so good!”

A Meteoric Rise

Wetmore’s rise has been nothing short of extraordinary. Debuting in February 2024 with back-to-back Billboard Hot 100 hits ‘Wine Into Whiskey' and ‘Wind Up Missin’ You' the Kalama, Wash., native has amassed over 700 million global streams. The latter track, hailed as a “surefire hit” by Billboard, became a radio favourite, climbing the Country charts in just 30 weeks after impacting airwaves in June.

Wetmore’s success has not gone unnoticed, landing him on coveted “Artist to Watch” lists from platforms like Spotify and VEVO. His blend of heartfelt storytelling and radio-ready anthems has resonated with fans and critics alike, making him a standout in the country music landscape.

Touring Ahead

Fans won’t have to wait long to see Wetmore in action. He’s kicking off 2025 with a performance at Luke Bryan’s Crash My Playa festival later this month. The demand for Wetmore’s live shows has also led to an extension of his sold-out Waves on a Sunset Tour, with 17 new dates beginning in Berlin on March 8 and including a main stage appearance at the prestigious C2C festival in London, Belfast and Glasgow.

In June, Wetmore will join Thomas Rhett as direct support for the Better in Boots Tour 2025, bringing his music to even bigger audiences across the country.
