Tanner Adell releases new track ‘Religion’ via the COLORS Platform

Country-pop sensation Tanner Adell has unveiled her soul-baring new track ‘Religion' in partnership with COLORS, the Berlin-based music platform known for its distinctive aesthetic and powerful performances. Written by Adell alongside Akil “worldwidefresh” King, Stephen “Di Genius” McGregor, and Parker Welling, ‘Religion – A COLORS SHOW' marks Adell’s COLORS debut, offering fans a deeply personal glimpse into her journey with faith, healing, and self-discovery.

The song’s release comes just days after Adell appeared on COLORS THREE SIXTY FM, Apple Music Radio’s show hosted by Shaboozey, where she discussed her inspirations and aspirations. The performance of ‘Religion' is now available to watch on the COLORS YouTube channel, with the track streaming across all digital platforms.

Reflecting on the meaning behind the song, Adell shared, “Following a terrible experience I had, I had to start over with what I believed in and find those little things that helped me feel like I was okay. This song is really hard for me to get through; it is still a piece of me that is healing. But this song is the start of me healing. I'm not fully there yet, but I think that's something really beautiful about the gift I have — to channel hurt and pain into a song that heals me and others.”

A Milestone Year for Tanner Adell

The release of ‘Religion' coincided with the start of Adell’s first-ever headlining tour, The Buckle Bunny Tour, which kicked off at a sold-out House of Blues in Dallas, Texas. Presented by Crown Royal, the tour saw tickets vanish within minutes of going on sale, with venue upgrades in several cities to meet demand. Adell’s debut mixtape ‘Buckle Bunny' inspired the tour’s name, which will visit major markets like New York City, Chicago, and Houston before wrapping in Louisville, Kentucky, on December 13.

Adell’s star has only continued to rise in 2024. Earlier this year, she made history as the first female country artist to perform at the BET Awards with her song ‘Cowboy Break My Heart.' Her performance, described by VIBE as ensuring “country music remains at the forefront of mainstream conversations,” solidified her position as one of the genre’s most compelling voices.

Other highlights from her monumental year include:

  • Releasing fan-favourite singles like ‘Silverado,' ‘Whiskey Blues' and ‘Too Easy,' which was featured on the Twisters movie soundtrack.
  • Performing on The Jennifer Hudson Show, Macy’s 4th of July Spectacular, and major festivals.
  • Being named one of seven artists shaping the sound of 2024 by The New York Times and a 2024 CMT Next Women of Country artist.

With over 200 million global streams and counting, Adell has cemented her place as a trailblazer in country-pop.
