Luke Combs, Eric Church & Billy Strings to Headline ‘Concert for Carolina’ Benefit Show

In a remarkable show of unity and generosity, country music superstars Luke Combs, Eric Church, Billy Strings, and James Taylor will headline the “Concert for Carolina” benefit event at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina, on Saturday, October 26. The event, hosted by ESPN’s Marty Smith and Barstool Sports’ Caleb Pressley, aims to raise funds for relief efforts following the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene across the Carolinas.

An Event Close to Home for the Artists

For the headlining artists, the concert is deeply personal. Combs, Church, and Taylor all have roots in North Carolina, where their musical journeys began, while Strings, a frequent performer in the state, holds a special connection to the local music scene. Luke Combs, who was born outside of Charlotte and raised in Asheville, expressed his pride in returning home for such a meaningful cause. Eric Church, a native of Granite Falls, also shared his excitement for the event, highlighting his long-standing connection to the region. Though Michigan-born, Billy Strings has developed a loyal fanbase in North Carolina, making his participation in the concert especially significant.

Mobilizing for Hurricane Helene Relief

The idea for the benefit concert was sparked over the weekend as news of the hurricane’s devastation unfolded. When the artists and event organizers reached out to David and Nicole Tepper—owners of the Carolina Panthers and Charlotte FC—their response was immediate, offering Bank of America Stadium as the venue for the concert. The collaboration between Tepper Sports & Entertainment, Explore Asheville, and other sponsors quickly brought the event to life.

Supporting the Carolinas

All proceeds from the concert will go directly to hurricane relief efforts. Funds will be split evenly between the Chief Cares Foundation, run by Eric Church, and organizations supported by Luke Combs. Church’s foundation will help established charities that can rapidly assist affected families, while Combs' contributions will benefit Samaritan’s Purse, Manna Food Bank, and Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest NC, with one additional charity to be announced.

Tickets for “Concert for Carolina” will go on sale Thursday, October 10, at 10 a.m. ET. Fans can purchase tickets and find full event details at concertforcarolina.com.
