Darumas has released new single ‘Francotirador', following their first ever Latin Grammy nomination for ‘Best New Artist'.
‘Francotirador', meaning ‘sniper' in English, is a funk-pop fusion that features strong lead vocals and is embellished by strings. The music video sees the band bring to life their charisma and captivating energy. Watch it below:
‘Francotirador' is their first offering since Darumas launched themselves with their well-received self-titled debut album in May. Since their debut this year, the electrifying trio, composed of multi-talented musicians Aldana Aguirre, Ceci Leon and Vedala Vilmond, have claimed Rolling Stone’s ‘The Future of Music’ stamp (and performed at their showcase in Mexico City).
Their debut single ‘Daruma' took over the #1 position on the #1 radio station in Japan, J-WAVE. The band made their festival debut at Outside Lands Music Festival in San Francisco, followed by RUMBAZO in Las Vegas last week, and a support role at superstar Emilia’s hometown Movistar Arena shows in Buenos Aires.
This summer, the band appeared at the Latin Alternative Music Conference too, marking their NY performance debut. If that’s not all, the band will perform at Rock In Rio tomorrow in Brazil and Heineken Silver Live Out in October.
