Rett Madison drops stripped back cover of Fleetwood Mac’s ‘Everywhere’

Los Angeles-based artist Rett Madison has released a heartfelt cover of Fleetwood Mac’s 1987 classic ‘Everywhere' now available via Warner Records/War Buddha Records. Fans can listen to the track and watch the accompanying music video online.

This cover comes ahead of the release of ‘One More For Jackie' a Digital Deluxe Edition of her 2023 album ‘One For Jackie' which will be available on October 25 to mark the one-year anniversary of the original album’s release. The expanded edition will feature four additional tracks, including the newly released “Everywhere.” Fans can pre-save the album now.

Madison shared a touching connection to the song, explaining how it holds deep personal significance. “My mom introduced me to Fleetwood Mac, one of the many artists I still love today,” she recalls. “We’d listen to their Greatest Hits album on long drives to visit my grandmother, and I always asked her to play ‘Everywhere,’ or as I called it, ‘The Magic Song.’ That song bonded us, and every time I hear it, I think of her.”

Madison’s take on ‘Everywhere' strips the track down to its emotional essence. The steady, percussive beat of the song is complemented by soft acoustic guitar, while Madison’s delicate vocals bring a fresh vulnerability to the lyrics. The video showcases the rising star during an intimate photo shoot, reflecting the raw, honest energy that defines her artistry.

This year, Rett Madison has been steadily building anticipation for ‘One More For Jackie' having already shared tracks like ‘Kiki (Rett’s Take)' and ‘Apocalyptic Folk Song.' The expanded edition will also feature a brand-new song, ‘Head On' originally recorded during the One For Jackie sessions.

Madison is also set to embark on a busy touring schedule this fall. She will join four-time Grammy-nominated band The Fray as direct support starting September 27 at Washington, DC’s Lincoln Theatre. The tour will take her across the country, concluding on October 20 at Brooklyn Bowl in Nashville, TN. Following that, Madison will join The Crane Wives for a West Coast tour from October 24 to November 3. Full tour dates are available, and tickets are on sale now.

Her fall tour includes notable appearances, including a performance at Nashville’s Americanafest on September 19 and a slot at the Austin City Limits Festival on October 5, where she will also play an ACL Nights show with Medium Build.

Madison continues to capture attention as a rising talent in the music world. A Book Of recently featured her on its digital cover, praising her blend of folk, rock, Americana, and soul, and calling her a “deeply emotive singer-songwriter” with “poignant lyrics and captivating vocal performances.”

Earlier this year, Madison shared the stage with John Darnielle of The Mountain Goats, Bailen, and headlined her own Midwest tour. She also made a notable appearance at Carnegie Hall in February, performing at The Piano Recital alongside Mandy Moore, Margo Price, and others.

As she continues to rise in the contemporary music scene, Rett Madison’s honest storytelling and powerful voice make her an artist to watch.
