Mississippi native Colin Stough returns with a fiery new track, ‘White Trash,' an unfiltered country-rock anthem that embraces his roots and reclaims a label once used to tear him down. The single is available now on all major streaming platforms.
Co-written by Stough alongside Jamie Collazo and Kenny Whitmire, and produced by James LeBlanc and Phillip White, ‘White Trash' pulses with gritty guitar riffs and Stough’s signature raw vocals. The song is a proud shoutout to the outsiders, packed with emotion and a rebellious spirit that mirrors Stough’s own story.
“I grew up on the ‘other side of town' with the rest of the outcasts,” says Stough. “It used to hurt when my mom and I would get called white trash; I think this is my way of reclaiming that. I love where I come from; if that’s white trash, I’ll own it.”
The track marks another bold step in Stough’s evolution, building on his reputation for blending country storytelling with rock edge. Written and recorded in January, ‘White Trash' delivers an honest, no-frills message from an artist who has never been afraid to wear his scars with pride.
In addition to releasing new music, Stough is gearing up for a series of live shows across the country. He’ll perform at festivals and venues throughout the summer and early fall, with more music expected later this year.
