Jason Aldean celebrates 31st country radio number one as new album era gathers momentum

Jason Aldean has secured his 31st country radio number one with ‘How Far Does A Goodbye Go,' topping both the Billboard Country Airplay chart and Mediabase rankings via Broken Bow Records. The achievement puts him level with George Strait, Alan Jackson and Luke Bryan for the fourth-most number ones since the chart began in 1990.

The single also serves as the first taste of upcoming album ‘Songs About Us,' arriving April 24. Reflecting on the milestone, Aldean thanked radio, collaborators and fans, saying the continued support has made the songs “something bigger than we ever imagined.”

The chart success arrives as Aldean returns to Australia on his Full Throttle World Tour and headlines New Zealand for the first time, while also earning two nominations at the iHeartRadio Music Awards for Country Artist of the Year and Country Song of the Year for ‘Whiskey Drink.' He has steadily rolled out new material since announcing the album, including tracks like ‘Easier Gone' with his wife, Brittany. Across two decades, Aldean has built one of modern country music’s most durable careers, collecting 13 Top 10 albums, 31 radio chart-toppers and recognition from the SoundExchange Hall of Fame as one of the most-streamed artists of his era.
