Listen: Richard Ashcroft releases new single “Lovin’ You”

Richard Ashcroft has released new single “Lovin' You”, the title track from his upcoming album.

The single arrives as Ashcroft tours as special guest with Oasis on their stadium tour. “Lovin' You” features a recording of the iconic guitar riff from Mason Williams’ Grammy-winning 1968 track ‘Classical Gas'. Mason Williams was delighted when he heard the new song “Lovin’ You”.

The single was written by Richard with a co-writing credit for Mason Williams for the ‘Classical Gas’ riff. Richard co-produced the track with Emre Ramazanoglu.

“Lovin’ You“, the album, is now available to pre-order now and it will be released on 10th October 2025. It will be released on standard black vinyl, CD and digital formats. There is also a range of retailer exclusive vinyl variants: his official store offers a neon orange vinyl, Amazon UK have a regular orange version, and select independent stores will stock a blue version.

The Oasis tour has generated a fresh rediscovery of Richard’s work, from his huge success with The Verve led by the 11 x Platinum #1 smash ‘Urban Hymns’ through to an expansive solo career. Now the two-time Ivor Novello and triple BRIT Award winner is set to play the biggest UK headline tour of his career to date. He will also wrap the Oasis tour with two final Wembley Stadium shows on September 27th and 28th.
