Chase Rice is heading back to the roots of his artistry with ‘Eldora,' a 12-song album set for release on September 19. The new project marks his second independent release since stepping away from the major label system, following 2024’s ‘Go Down Singin’. With ‘Eldora,' Rice leans even further into the raw storytelling and heartfelt grit that have defined his evolution as a songwriter. Pre-order or pre-save right here.
The album was written primarily in the quiet mountain town of Eldora, Colorado, shortly after Rice performed at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Surrounded by stillness and solitude, he found clarity in songwriting not driven by trends or chart ambitions, but by a desire to capture real moments and meaningful stories. “This is the kind of music I’ve always loved and the kind of stories I’ve always wanted to tell,” Rice explains. “Eldora isn’t about proving anything – it’s about making something that’s real and letting it speak for itself.”
As a preview of the new record, Rice has released ‘Circa 1943,' a poignant ballad written with Wyatt McCubbin and producer Oscar Charles. The song paints a fictional but emotionally honest love story set during World War II, inspired by the enduring marriage of Rice’s grandparents, Harold and Berniece. While the lyrics take creative liberties, the names and spirit of the couple remain true, serving as a tribute to the sacrifices and resilience of the Greatest Generation.

‘Circa 1943' joins the previously released ‘Two Tone Trippin’ as an early look at what fans can expect from ‘Eldora.' Where ‘Circa 1943' leans into nostalgia and reverence, “Two Tone Trippin’” delivers a feel-good ride through summer with jangly guitars and a carefree country spirit. Together, the songs reflect Rice’s renewed creative direction—one guided not by expectations, but by authenticity and purpose.
