Ryan Bingham has released his latest single ‘Twist The Knife,' offering another glimpse into his upcoming album ‘They Call Us The Lucky Ones,' due May 15 via Thirty Tigers and The Bingham Recording Co. The track arrives as the second preview of the project, following earlier releases that have already begun to build anticipation around his first full-length album in more than seven years.
Created in collaboration with The Texas Gentlemen, the new record leans into a loose, live-in-the-room feel that reflects Bingham’s long-standing commitment to authenticity. Across its 10 tracks—including ‘Ballad of The Texas Gentlemen,' ‘The Lucky Ones' and ‘Americana'—the album explores both the highs and lows of life on the road, while also capturing a renewed sense of perspective and optimism. Early reactions have been strong, with Rolling Stone praising it as one of his most complete works to date.
‘Twist The Knife' continues that approach, pairing Bingham’s raw vocal delivery with the band’s textured, genre-blending sound. Much of the album was recorded live with minimal overdubs, allowing the performances to retain their natural energy and imperfections—something Bingham has described as central to finally capturing these songs the way he always envisioned them.
To mark the release, Bingham and The Texas Gentlemen are set to perform at Austin City Limits on April 21 before heading out on their ‘Still Gettin’ Away With It Tour.' The run includes stops across major U.S. cities such as New York, Boston, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C., as Bingham returns to the road with new music that reinforces his reputation as one of Americana’s most distinctive voices.
