Country traditionalist Jake Worthington is gearing up for a major year on the road, announcing his Intent To Tonk Tour — a headlining U.S. run launching this spring in Wilmington, North Carolina before travelling through cities including Chicago, Nashville, Boston and New York. Hailed as a “titan of twang” by Rolling Stone, Worthington continues to build momentum with a busy touring schedule that also includes stadium dates alongside Luke Combs, festival appearances and high-profile support slots with artists such as Luke Bryan, HARDY, Parker McCollum, Riley Green and Ian Munsick.
Worthington says the tour marks a welcome return to centre stage after years of heavy collaborative touring. On the road he’ll spotlight material from his acclaimed album ‘When I Write The Song,' recognised by outlets including Billboard, The Boston Globe, Whiskey Riff and Saving Country Music. The record blends honky-tonk authenticity with contemporary polish and features collaborations with Miranda Lambert, Marty Stuart and Mae Estes. Production from Joey Moi, Jon Randall and Chuck Ainlay adds depth and sheen while maintaining Worthington’s classic country roots. Standout tracks like ‘It Ain’t The Whiskey,' ‘My Home’s In Oklahoma' and ‘Hello Shitty Day' have helped cement the album’s growing cultural footprint.
